The use of pallets can be more convenient to use forklifts to directly handle the goods on the storage shelves, which not only improves work efficiency but also saves labor costs.
There are three main types of pallets on the market: metal pallets, wooden pallets and plastic pallets. Different storage shelf system for the pallet type is also different, we use the pallet according to the actual storage shelf system type to choose.
1. shuttle shelf with plastic tray
Shuttle rack as an automated shelf system, the depth of the pallet placed on the above by the shuttle car storage, plastic pallet is the main use of the pallet type, in the location and through the shelf similar. The basic principle of shuttle shelves is: shelves and movable shuttle cars form a simple unit, which can be moved in the warehouse. The racks with shuttle cars running inside are controlled by a front-end center console. Forklift fork rack (including shuttle), put it on the center console of the designated shelf. The forklift then places the inbound pallet on the shuttle to begin warehousing operations. When the forklift wants to store the next pallet, the shuttle will quickly and steadily transport the pallet to the designated storage location in the shelf.
2. heavy duty shelf with metal tray
Heavy-duty racking is typical of the use of metal pallet racking. This kind of shelf usually has a set of 2-3 metal pallets placed side by side for the demand of goods. This kind of shelf is also often called tray shelf. When using metal trays for heavy-duty shelves, pay attention to some problems. First of all, it is necessary to determine the position between the metal pallets and have appropriate space to facilitate the operation of the forklift; secondly, try to put the metal pallets neatly on the beams of the shelves, and handle the relationship between the goods and the metal pallets. Avoid safety accidents. The heavy-duty shelf foot must be installed with expansion screws to ensure the stability of the pallet shelf.
3. through-type shelf can be three
The use of through type shelf tray, through type shelf is the use of tray master. Because the through-type shelf is a kind of shelf that is not separated by the channel and is continuous, the pallet is also continuous, which also reduces the obstruction and maximizes the ability to store goods. In use, the trays can be arranged in both unidirectional and bidirectional. The total depth of one-way (wall area) shelves is best controlled within the depth of 6 pallets, and the total depth of two-way (middle area can be picked up on both sides) shelves is best controlled within the depth of 12 pallets to improve the efficiency and reliability of forklift access. As for the choice of metal pallet, wooden pallet or plastic pallet, we can determine it after comprehensive consideration.
