Tips for Quickly Calculating the Ground Load of Storage Racks
2022-01-05 15:37
When we do the design of large storage shelves, we need to know in detail the load requirements of storage shelves on the ground. Some friends don't know what to do when they encounter this problem. They haven't come into contact with this aspect and have no way to start. They are always at a bottom. The following is a simple calculation method, which can be done with only one calculator.
Under normal circumstances, it is necessary to propose that the load of the shelf on the ground has two items: concentrated load refers to the concentrated force of each column on the ground, and the general unit is expressed in tons. The average load refers to the bearing capacity per unit area of the shelf area, which is generally expressed in tons per square meter. The following is the most common beam type shelf as an example.
In order to facilitate understanding, the arrangement of two adjacent compartments on one of the shelves is intercepted in the figure, and two pallets of goods are placed in each compartment. The weight of the unit pallet goods is expressed in D, and the weight of the two trays of goods is D * 2. Take the cargo cell on the left as an example, the weight of the two plates of goods is evenly distributed over the four columns 1, 2, 3 and 4, so the weight of each column is D * 2/4=0.5D. then we take the 3rd column as an example. besides the goods on the left, the 3rd column and 4, 5 and 6 need to evenly distribute the weight of the two pallets on the right side of the cargo cell, the calculation method is consistent with the left cargo compartment, and the shared weight is also 0.5D, so the load of No.3 column on this layer can be simplified to the weight of a pallet. After that, count the number of layers of the shelf. Multiplying the weight of a single pallet by the number of layers is the concentrated load of the shelf column.
In addition, in addition to the weight of the goods, the shelf itself also has a certain weight, which can be estimated based on empirical values. Generally, standard pallet shelves can be estimated according to 40kg per cargo space, and the calculation formula is based on the weight of a single pallet plus the dead weight of a single cargo space shelf and then multiplied by the number of layers. For example, if the unit cargo weighs 700kg and the shelf has a total of 9 layers, the concentrated load of each column is (700 40)* 9/1000=6.66t.
After introducing the concentrated load, let's look at the average load. We delimit the projection area of a certain cargo grid. The length and width of the area are represented by L and W respectively.
Within the projected area, there are two pallets of goods on each shelf. Considering the weight of the upper shelf itself, the average load can be multiplied by the weight of the two pallets plus the dead weight of the two shelves, and then divided by the projected area. Still according to the unit cargo 700kg, shelf 9 layers as an example, the projection area length l is 2.4m,W is 1.2 m calculation, the average load is:((700 40)* 2*9/1000)/(2.4*1.2)= 4.625t/m2.
The above is about how to quickly calculate the load on the ground of storage shelves. Do you think it is easy after reading it?
